Introducing Cocoa Village BBQ and Blues‘ New Charity, Aging Matters
Aging Matters provides several services to keep seniors safe and healthy in their homes. These programs include: Meals on Wheels where volunteers deliver a hot nutritious meal to the homes of individuals age 60 or older who are homebound because of illness, disability, or isolation. This also results in a person physically checking in on the senior on a regular basis. Seniors Assistance Program which services include minor home maintenance and housing improvement services focused on environmental modifications to improve accessibility, safety, and security of the home.
Background checked handymen install grab bars, build access ramps, and perform other minor home repairs. And Community Care for the Elderly which provides case management services to frail seniors age 60 and over including development of an individualized care plan and assistance in selecting community based support services. These services may include adult day care, chore, companion, consumable medical supplies, emergency alert response, home delivered meals, homemaker, personal care, transportation and respite.
